Higher-Level Review (HLR)

A senior VA adjudicator reviews the same evidence for a legal or factual error. No new evidence allowed. Best when the decision was clearly wrong based on existing evidence.

Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA)
⏱ 1–3+ years (hearing docket up to 5–7 yrs)
A Veterans Law Judge reviews your case. You can submit new evidence and request a hearing. Longest lane, but gives you the most options and a formal hearing before a judge.
